Steve and his guest “Jim” talk about the phenomenon of “NPE”, Not Parent Expected, a term used in the genealogical community to identify a blip on the family tree where the assumed parent has been proven, through reliable DNA testing, to not be the biological parent.  Jim learned for the first time in his 60s that the man who raised him, the man who he thought was his father, was not his biological parent.
